I'm 38 years old and the girl at the till asked me for ID. I'm definitely old enough to be her father. What is the age to buy alcohol in your country?

16 for beer, 18 for liquor

I am 30, and the last time I was asked for an ID must have been over a decade ago.

the law in Finland is that anyone who looks 30 or under gets carded so pretty much anyone up to 45 gets carded

I'm the same age as you and still get carded sometimes by older clerks... but only if I'm wearing a hat.

I don't think it's the law, but they recommend anyone under 25 should be asked.
