I saved 30k dollars in 7 months of work. By the end of the year I hope to have saved at least 55k.
Are you a saver in your country?
My goal is to be free of work 10 years from now.

I’m an “elite” (prestigious high paying job) public worker so my pay is very high as far as Shitzilian salaries are concerned. I net the equivalent of 7.8k dollars/month. My living expenses are probably around 1.5k a month however my family takes advantage of that fact and keeps asking me for money which is why I can’t save as much as I wish.
Still a wagie though and my life is pretty shit, what keeps me going is saving and knowing maybe one day compound interest will set me free

It surprisingly doesn’t work like that in shitzil. You have to take part in a selection that’s pretty objective and mostly immune to corruption even if that’s hard to believe coming from here. Idk anyone important, but I studied for about 3 years before passing the exams. The job is awful and soul crushing though.

7.8k/month after 3 years of studies as a public worker
yeah that is nepotism/corruption. You don't make that much here as a public worker if you studied law for 7 years

Obviously I got a university degree before. So it was 5 years of degree + 1 year of specializing + 2 years of private practive + 3 years prepping for the exam.
But yes public sector pays very well in Brazil for the best positions. For example judges on average take home (so, net) an income of 12k dollars+/month.
