China already surpassed Japan and Europe in robotics 2 years ago. It just takes a while for the market to catch up. They're not just copying either, since they're big on mobile robots, someone that Europe or japan aren't as good at

It already happening, it's just that like everything China does, it's happening within their domestic market first, before they go international. You will start to see cutting edge Chinese robotics companies venture out into the international market within a year or two and start taking market share from Japan
