>American support for Ukraine went from "whatever it takes"-
Said no mutts ever lmao. I remember when the invasion began and browsing Instagram reels and seeing euros saying some variation like "I-I-I know we have differences, b-b-but we have we need to stick together!" with every mutt reply underneath essentially being "Good luck lol"
And yet the years later the question and arguments that come from it is still the same, which isβ Why should the US cover the defense what is essentially an entire continent of rich, developed, democratic countries 30 years after the collapse of the USSR while the US has massive mounding issue domestically while simultaneously covering defense of a quarter of the world? Was there any praise when the US sent troops to Guyana's border when Venezuela threaten to invade the country after massive oil deposits were discovered a barely a year ago? Would Europe send the same substantial amount of aid had Russia invaded somewhere like Kyrgyzstan invade of Ukraine? Is it unreasonable to prioritize the defense of those of east Asia where I can count the amout of countrie that happen to be both developed and democratic with only one hand?
The question to all of these is no.
