Presumably, but I think it all depends on how important the US is by then. If the US is still a top 3 or 4 country by then I think it still will be. The languages of every other significant country are too hard to learn.
If the US is completely irrelevant then probably not. People will probably speak Chinese or, God forbid, whatever they speak in India just due to their insane population numbers.

Yeah Mandarin has no chance of overtaking English even if China is the most powerful country.

Also, its more likely that we move to a world where China, Europe and USA are all very powerful, and two of those 3 have English as the primary language, add in India as the fourth also where English is common. Complete Chinese global dominance seems like an unlikely scenario, even if they are individually the most powerful country.
