South Park is unironically disproportionately white. My cousin has watched almost every season of the Simpsons but I don't know anyong irl other than me who's watched it.

Do people still watch South Park? Heard they managed to sign a billion dollar deal and was suprirsed to hear it was still worth that much.
I haven't liked past... whatever season that "LOTR VHS porno" episode's from. Remember feeling like the characters weren't fun anymore, it started being too serious and preachy and episodes lost that absurd stoner humor of the early seasons and became more about "whatever made the news headlines in America that week."

From all 4 shows I watched South Park the most, and Family Guy the second most, when I was a teen. From the Simpsons and Rick & Morty I only saw some clips on Youtube. They have their moments, but it doesn't hook me that much to actually watch them. Family Guy became utterly trash after the death of Brian and South Park had a good run, but the later sessions aren't interesting to me anymore.

Didn't understand the Simpsons when I was a kid, I've recently watched like uuhh 25 seasons? And it's utter ahit after the first ten at best, they really are repeating themselves over and over.
South park stopped being good around the memberberries episode.
Family guy was stupid but fun but around 15 season they went down the hill.
Rick crap I just couldn't finish the first episode
>>213070660 >memberberries episode.
People tout this as a the decline point but for me it was on that trajectory for like ten-fiften years before that.
Simpsons is.. I mean first 9 seasons are good. I think Homer in New York was the last episode of the golden age.
I've only watched Family Guy via Youtube compilations, and haven't enough of Rick and Morty to form a concrete opinion.

Theres something incredibly cringe about family guy going "uhhh dont you know iis 2025 humor is illegal and everyonr who disagrees gets cancelled!" for a joke thats a 3/10 in offensiveness

I've always thought South Park was more reddit that Rick and Morty. Politically they may be more libertarian than your average redditoid (though as of late that doesn't apply anymore either) but the pretentiousness and preachiness of the show and thinking of themselves as more important than they actually are is peak reddit personality.
>>213070861 >still had some cool episodes
Meh. Whenever I watch these "cool episodes" from the latest seasons, they're still worse than the worst episodes from the older seasons (Like Jakovasaurus). As for Simpsons, why does Marge sound like a woodpecker?
>>213070717
The show got flanderized to the ground and really just exist to be milked. Especially Brian turned out terrible. It's funny how people used to cry over Brians death and now they wish that he stayed under ground

Reason why I find the fanbase to be utterly insufferable compared to other adult cartoons. Say what you want about Family Guy, but its fans just want to have a laugh and don't care about any deeper satire.

Yeah its very exhausting seeing every character do the same gag over and over. Also the vast majority of the family guy cast is straight up vile nowadays

Seasons 6-9 arguably had the most consistency. The earlier seasons were too reliant on toilet humour and the novelty of kids swearing on TV, while the later seasons became too dramatic. But there are still a handful good episodes either side of that period. I feel like the enjoyment of a lot of the later seasons boils down to how familiar the viewer is with whatever they happen to be parodying that episode, so it ends up being quite hit-or-miss.

I feel like season 6 is probably the sweet spot. After that, it felt different. Stan and Kyle became boring good guys, Cartman became "reddit evil character", Chef lost prominence, more episodes about current events etc.
