I still don't get why he decided to make some of the worst descisions imaginable regarding this whole controversy. He could've just said

I guess I'm just baffled by the change in response. Back when Elon accused him of being in the Epstein files back in June, his reaction was fairly measured and made Elon seem like a sperg who got way too prissy over a bill.
