How do people pick sport's teams to cheer in your country?

In Brazil it's kinda random. There are football teams in one city whose fans live in the other side of the country

I don't know why that happens tho

I picked one for their playing style but abandoned them when they changed it

either
1. support your local
2. proceed through life without a father

typically two ways
if you're gay, transgender, etc, you support the Giants
if you're normal, you support your local team
