When I was a kid yes. My uncle was a cop in the small town where I grew up and everyone loved him.
But those dreams got crushed when I moved to a larger city and saw how shit the job was there.
Also the salary is garbage for the shit they go through.
So I became a security guard (Securitas) instead with less risk, better (much better) pay and I can easily move anywhere in the country and still have a guaranteed job (Securitas is good that way).
Today I spend my working hours patrolling a harbor here in Gothenburg. 50/50 day/night.

I like the idea of cops, in an idealistic sense. But everything about the reality of cops makes me disgusted. Corrupt, attracting meatheads and powertrippers, generally just tools that defend the status quo while larping as the punisher
