While the Bh'Arabis have spread over the galaxy they possess neither FTL nor advanced energy weapons. Trillions have turned Earth into a Hive Ecumenopolis tens of thousands of levels deep, supporting bare steel skyscrapers stretching kilometers into the air, creaking and swaying against the immense heat generate by the crust uncountable billions of Dalitee and Dasu working underground.
On Mars only a few hundred million Maryians have hollowed the red planet, fortified it, built secret shipyards and planned their revenge. Clandestine bases litter the Oort cloud to block shipments from the colonies to Earth (al-Akāsha).
The attack came suddenly and without cause in 2400 just when the Abhraminas declared the Kali Yuga to have ended. The siege of Al Akasha has lasted thirty years now, but the planet remains as unbreached and unable to be assaulted by Maryian forces. With Earth having no shield generators or sophisticated defense system the bulk of the industrial build up and civil geography makes an invasion all but impossible. Whether the population is starving, planet side shipyards and production facilities were hit in the orbital bombard is uncertain. Fleets emerge monthly and the Maryian efforts have been just as costly as the Bh'Arabi defense.
