Why is that any of their business to begin with? Unless I have a criminal record or something I don't see why they should have any knowledge of my previous workplaces or what I do in my life unless I put it in my CV.

My gap was 19 years long when I met my gf.
The solution was night shift cleaner in a mall.
Basically the only demands were no criminal history, capable of working alone and no stealing.

I would just tell the true and hope that people understand me, lol. I had some business and once hired very weird guy who was about 30 yo and never had a job. And it was OK, he was doing his job properly, with no serious troubles.

Only reason I got a job was because I wanted to buy shit and improve our home. Felt like the least I could do.

Instead of trying to BS. Why not try to create your own business now and though you might not get clients or customers, you'll be able to tell potential employers later about how your experience being an entrepreneur what you learned along the way

My employer didn't care about my 4-year gap. So the moral of the story is just be lucky
