It could be that one of them is interested in you, which then makes the other girls compete for your attention as well even if they're not even interested in you, but they still want you to find them hotter than the other girl. Or they could have gossiped about you and decided that buying you tea sends you a subtle message that they don't like you at all. Or it's a plot where they try to make you hit on them, and then they bully you because you're a creep. You can just never tell with women
