You're wrong. St. Petersburg was built by Italian architects in the 1700s, hence its beautiful urbanistic structure which makes it a European architectural masterpiece in its own right.

Fun fact: there was a Finnish speaking Swedish city called Nevanlinna where St. Petersburg is located before imperialism
