The problem with Hamas is the islamist conviction that a jewish land in the area should not exist. Without Hamas and other islamist groups peace would ensure. Like it to a large degree does for the 20% of muslims living in Israel today. Hamas and Hizbollah are not doing them good. The neighbors have neutralized their relations to Israel and I can only assume this is part of why they are unwilling to accept Hamas refugees.
