Same. I love AoE II and I've been playing since we had a pentium II pc back in the early 2000s but the ladder is lopsided because the higher ranks are dominated by people who've been playing competitive since the original version. It's the same thing with Quake III Arena or Starcraft 2.

it was impemented like 10 years ago when you couldn't self-revive but since then they added an option to self-revive
so you either get lucky and respawn people before they do it themselves or you rig it with someone and spend an hour or 2 just respawning yourselves

Recently got a new gayming PC
RTX 4070 and Ryzen 5700x
Guess I'll play some older games I never got to finish like GTA5. Didn't play for 10 years.

I haven't played games since late high school but for the last month everyday I've been playing The Death And Return Of Superman on SNES emulator for 15-20 mins before I get off work. I had that game as a kid and couldn't beat level 2 so I'm getting revenge.

Used to play a lot of fifa with my friends in high school though.

I love AoE 2 since it came out but I've only ever played it offline. I watch vids of the online scene sometimes and it looks dreadful, like anti-game schizo shit. The online pvp metas for strategy/rts games are just mind numbing and don't look fun at all, I like the comfy build up phase.

I play minecraft on my phone while commuting. Aside from that there's maybe 1-2 hours per day I have to myself where I could game (if I cut back on sleep a little), but I use that for gooning because I'm in a sexless marriage.

I haven't played this game for 5 years and swore I was done with it but for some reason I started playing it again just recently... even though it's nowhere near perfect is it has some of the best and most fun mechanics I've ever seen in a game, the art is great and unique too. I'm 1300 hours in and I think I'm stuck for more. I played this shit for 13 hours yesterday, just two weeks ago I had like 10 hours in the last two weeks.

built my first pc a couple months ago so going from playing rdr2 on my PS4 running at 30fps upscaled to 1080 to 4k 90 fps is a treat

Lots of Forza Horizon, Helldivers, Siege, random horror games and Halo with friends.
Solo it's been the Brothers In Arms series, Metro, Mass Effect, Half Life, Days Gone, Dead Island, Dying Light and a bunch of other games this year.
