14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.

Jesus didn't mean that literally. When he said that when he will come, not another generation would pass, he meant was it would be similar to that of his time, which is true. For at the time of Jesus, degeneracy, race mixing, basically our modern world was happening except it was in ancient Rome and no modern technology.
