I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD. This means I have executive dysfunction which is related to depression because depression also has e.d.

Can it be considered depression that I have been sitting at home for several years, doing nothing and only browsing the internet?

Cool. Blue collar jobs are also not bad, especially if you don't drink and continue to develop your skills.

I remember once I went to a psychiatrist, she told me that I really had depression, and a severe one at that. I don't know if she diagnosed it or not, but she prescribed me pills that made me jump up in horror at night from a random rustle

it feels a confirmed diagnosis only comes with downsides here. if I got that, I'd probably lose my job. Only upside would be autismbuxx maybe, but if you sit at home only collecting state aid you may as well kys.

yes and actually i do have a diagnosis, something like 'anxious depression' or whatever

Sometimes i go through episodes where i feel like absolute shit.
it's a living hell because depression corrupts the way you perceive the world and reason about things, and you're powerless to fight against your own mind

having a low-key one right now and day-drinking

I have a job. The depressive episodes haven't resurfaced for a long time up until now, work-related stress has likely triggered it

I have no friends, which is probably a contributing factor
Funnily enough i typically don't care about other people in my life, but when in a depressive episode it's the opposite - I want to be around others
