Its both true and fake. There were several Arvanitka Albanians who came from post-Black Death migrations in Central Greece but they were Orthodox and allied themselves with ethnic Greeks in war of independence. Then they became gradually and part forcefully hellenized by independent Greek state but they never rebelled against it
