My mom had a first who died of a drug overdose who was half Jewish half Irish. I have a sister who was born after he died who is subsequently a quarter Jewish. She is nuts and inherited a multi million dollar trust fund from her Jewish grandfather but which my mother allowed her to have all to herself for some dumb reason so I grew up comfortably but now it’s not really so unlimited because my sister has full control of it now.
My dad whom my mom remarried with and had me and then later divorced, he is a paranoid schizophrenic neurodivergent who generally believes Jewish stereotypes both positive and negative but doesn’t care about Jewish conspiracies. When I was young my dad actually drew a caricature of my quarter Jewish sister as a rat with the title “rat faced Jew” which my mom eventually found and was upset about. What’s kind of funny is my dad is 1/16th Jewish through an obscure ancestor that converted and intermarried in the mid 1800s. I took a dna test once and it said I was 0.8% Ashkenazi Jewish.
My dad claimed tried running damage control over his drawing by saying that a kid once called my sister rat face in school and she also just so happens to be some Jewish so really what’s the big deal.
