Hence Americans have such weird fixations; they hate nature because their Anglo-Saxon Puritan ancestors hated nature, they hate the human body for the same reason, and they glorify violence and irrational, aggressive behavior because it's what their media and inherited culture think is cool. Nothing about America is surprising once you understand who founded it.

All Americans are the same fundamentally, even social democrats and toothless republicans are the exact same but in different ways. America is a nation of protestant puritans, as that is the founding culture that took root in the colonies, a sexually repressed culture of foot washers, flagellants, and misanthropes. America started as a place for mentally ill antisocial religious nutters to gather, the pilgrims, and establish backward communities built on their outlandish, hysterical moralities. This is the core crux of all American values no matter who it is, this culture of shame, guilt, self-loathing, and the "underdog" obsession is all borne from hardline protestant Judeo-Christian moral dogma, values, and axioms. An apple cannot escape from its tree and likewise, a culture cannot escape from its ideological roots.
