90% of it is favela tier but instead of Brazilian jovialism everyone is stressed out and angry.
It is a sorry excuse for a capital of such an old and prestigious country like Greece.

Kinda curious what you mean. Greece became independent from the Ottomans in the early 19th century with the help of UK, France and Russia. Since then a lot happened but the modern Greek republic formed when the military junta fell in 1970s. How does this explain anything?
