I unironically had faith in Valve when the game dropped in its 0.001 pre-alpha state.
2 years down the line and they haven't ported more than 25% of all the default stuff from CSGO. Recently a leak surfaces which predicted the names of some code they were working on stating they had like 8 devs working on the game.
Keep in mind this is Valve's golden goose with hundreds of millions in direct key sales every year

most of the playerbase is casual and doesn't even care enough to learn spray patterns, these esoteric minor details don't matter. they also don't think of the game like dota. they don't want to keep up with updates and a meta.
