3 months, 2 months is the same for everyone, 1 month 'specialization' for your branch
you learn to march, greet, shoot rifle&pistol, basic life saving measures, movement in terrain, digging foxholes, setting up a watchpost, nato alphabet, ranks, also some basic political/legal info, sports, and that's about it

In Canada, army, air force and navy do basic together. Its not physically hard but somewhat stressful. Wasnt so bad, only thing I disliked was lack of sleep

Basic training starts here when you are 13, you can do math and you can work field and cattle at least unless you are retarded
Your grandfather teaches you about the dangers of gunpowder and steel edge, grandma teaches you about traps and torture
Then you cause a mayhem in school as your bloodlust rises to be made
Then the pedagog or school councler asks you why you did what you did (if you get caught) so be honest
Congratulations, you are 14 or 15, prime time to slaughter cattle
Mine was a pig i personally named to others it may be a goat or sheep or even calf
Your dad or grandpa gives you a pistol and a knife, or in my case a hammer and a knife, one is anesthetic, other is death
Death of cattle equals food
You need to feel the warmth and stench of blood and keep cutting
Impale the throat mechanism on the branch, let everyone know you did it
Then you see it as food, then you see it as nature
Once you get a reflex by listening to the evil, you get the desire to be a soldier
Be a warrior and mayhem before succumbing to the rule of law that doesnt touch you in the slightest

Of you still have your shit together, mayve you may walk in front of God when judgement day comes

I can’t really remember much since it’s been 6 years since I went to recruit training. But It usually was runs everyday with calisthenic circuits or strength training circuits. If it wasn’t that we would just do the obstacle course, we would also do a forced march nearly every week increasing both the weight and distance. But I honestly think the times we got fucked up over some stupid shit was worst

Sweden:

I was in the navy during covid so it was fucked up and we got sent home for like 5 weeks

its training and pretty basic. nothing like american bootcamp.
some boomer officer with a small crew of fresh cadetts/commanders idk the proper english term, we had a leuthenant and 4 quarter masters. leuthenant was active duty in some nato special force with lots of war experience even did a tour during our training, quarter masters where just out of officer school and doing their duty year(s)
marching and all that was done in a few weeks then we quickly got given actual positions and put to use. as one of the only navy units doing infantry and land based operations we where always used as "russians" against the entire nato.when their army and infantry came here to excersize. i dare say that gave us better training than the units we trained against, nothing we did was ever by the book and we didnt have artillery, armour or air support. we had unlimited supply of all kinds of ammo and was told to just keep shooting when we where at the range, nothing was held back. 7,62, mortar, grenades, m72... we where told to waste it. circulation of reserve materiell, if we didnt shoot it up they had to destroy it.
