>>213487082>Don't know howThe fact that they're framing this as if they don't impose draconian laws on the internet and expose everyone's identity, they are somehow letting child molesters win, and that this is the only way and is necessary, is just disingenuous.
Does anyone, even the UK government, honestly believe that these measures will have a significant impact on hindering child abuse, let alone ending it entirely? Of course not. This is just another excuse to attain more power and abuse their control over the masses.
Hearing this is like hearing my government say that banning all firearms and installing surveillance cameras everywhere would end crime. It didn't, and criminal activity is actually higher than it was years ago when guns were allowed and cameras weren't everywhere.
Are they going to stop banning guns and installing cameras? No, clearly they need more power and control to solve a problem that actually benefits them if they don't solve it.
How the hell do people not see through this? The UK government didn't do anything when those foreign gangs were literally prostituting local children because they thought it would be racist to point out the obvious.
They're not going to solve child abuse or online suicides because that means they have to give up the power they have now.
It just doesn't make sense to me that any person thinks that a organization that actively exists to a certain solve problem and their reason for having a livelihood would actually attempt to solve that problem.
