yes but croatia has felt empty since 2011

our population literally dropped by almost a third. playgrounds in every neighborhood used to be full, now its shifted to a single large one per town. parks see less traffic, cafes and night clubs are empty and closing. there are less and less bakeries. only franchises and upmarket options are left.

still im not gonna complain too much since i can afford much more stuff than my parents did and dont have to eat baloney for dinner every day.

on one hand it's sad to see that depopulation going on and many previously bustling cities becoming just empty, on the other hand, we never lived better than now and that's partially thanks to this depopulation (less competition for jobs + emigrants send remittances back to the country + more available housing + less crime)
