Half of A&E visits in this country were confirmed not emergencies. People with a small cut or had headache or something.

Guess the race of those visitors.

The most nefarious thing about foreign browns is that they LOVE to take advantage of free services. Yes, they will show up with a little cold, or a sprained ankle, any kind of boo boo, because back in their country service like that is a luxury and this feels like a pampered spa to them. When we do deportations here suddenly the ER isn't as gummed up anymore, hilarious.

Also because of how medical training works. It's insane that people have to get a degree in a random subject then go to medical school instead of just going straight to medical school like every other country. That leads to a huge demand in salaries from doctors.

This is the default response if you're under 50. My uncle had appendicitis and was literally crawling up the steps of the hospital and got sent away because he was only 30 at the time. Meanwhile every Dorothy (93F) with a cough and Gerald (88M) with a stubbed toe was ushered in. The NHS only serves browns and pensioners - the only two age groups who don't actually pay for the service.

Its the opposite here, they will run 5000 tests on you because they are paid for every extra measure they do. Emergencies are handled quickly but you can sometimes wait months for a visit with a specialist

Hospitals are essentially always over capacity so they focus more on clearing you out rather than taking the time to accurately diagnose you. As he said, under 50 years old they just assume it's anxiety o algo then send you away until you're about to die lol (it's the same in my country anyways)

Ironically, if insurance didn't exist, and hospitals had to negotiate with each individual, shit would be far cheaper and more streamlined. They would also be more exclusionary as well though, denying some of the more expensive care to people they mark as credit risks. Still wish it was this way sometimes.

I've always felt we should simply have all options available. There should be the more trusted, regulated, credentialed organizations/services, and then the journeymen and mercenaries, as you said. They can still build an organic reputation just like any tradesman. It's more of an age thing than a race thing, at least where I am. Boomers will turn up to A&E because they coughed funny that morning. Meanwhile, I'm sitting in a chair, painfully dying of a blood clot in my lungs.

Grandma went for a laser cataract surgery and they screwed up her optical nerve. For the next one we took her to a private clinic and paid full price.

They'll never fix the system and it will probably just evaporate on its own as people, including those who swear by free healthcare will slowly and quietly transfer over to private insurances and clinics.

I read the statistics on it. The majority of visitors are retired people yes but the majority of non-urgent visits actually come from middled aged people and middle age people taking their children to hospital. Most of these groups are not British citizens.

We have the same complaints that emergencies are 6-7 hour waits in Canada. My grandma went to the hospital for the past 2-3 months because of critically low blood cells and we waited at most 5 minutes. I don't know what these retards are talking about but I'm pretty sure if you go through with a little boo-boo on your arm that's not an emergency. Emergency = you are literally going to die without help.

It's mostly because anybody over the age of 30 remembers when you could see a GP within a day, and a 2 hour wait at the A&E was seen as ridiculously long. There's been a very steep decline in a very short amount of time, and even young people can remember when the service was much better.

There was a story a few years ago about gypos calling an ambulance on one of their family members who just had a heart attack but when the dispatcher said that the ambulence wouldnt arrive in under 10 minutes they started to threaten to kill the paramedics when they arrive.
So the ambulance stopped outside of their village to wait for a police patrol before entering.
Fortunately the story ended with the gypsy dying.

yeah, because with free healthcare 90% of all doctors visits are exactly that, part of the reason is our sick leave system that require a doctors note for a few days of sick leave for a simple flu or back pains. with actual injuries or accute illness you call er or ambulance and get a free pass before all of thoose.

Maybe you guys should automatically put Muslims into a separate queue so honest people can get critical care as needed.

broken ankle is emergency, if they cant operate and screw it together before it swell you get one of thoose extrernal foot fixtures for a few days while they wait for the swelling to go down. my ankle was patched up with titan rod and 9 screws within ours after i broke it in two places. if i had waited just an hour longer they would have to wait for 2-3 days.
its also an emergency in the way that you cant walk and bone splinters can do damage to tissue and blood vessels if you just limp around with it dangling.
