it wanted to join the EU to raise standard of living, ukraine doesnt give a fuck about the west.
ukraine just needs arms to protect itself from russia in the east and NATO in the west. but seeing as russia is the one currently killing their people and not NATO, i think you can understand why they are leaning slightly towards the other side.

desu the russian elites would have collapsed if Ukraine was let into the EU and it became the new Poland. Pootin couldnt justify why russians live in shit then

Australia wasn't the center of a parallel economic system for the better part of the 20th century, it was integrated into global capital from the start

To the sane destination as Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, proud EU and NATO members. Our average salaries aren't that different even with the gorillion sanctions imposed on our economy.
The fall of USSR made the western capitalists drool over the idea of appropiating thesurplus values and natural resources of the vast landscape of Eurasia. This would had indeed slowed down the absolute decline of Western capitalism vis a vis Asia.
The rise of the bonapartist Putin regime however put a stop to such ambitions.
This is the main reason western capitalists resent putinism.
This however doesnt mean putinism must be supported. On the contrary, its criminal and autoritharian tendencies are a a source of geopolitical conflicts

Ironically no, the West actually pampered Russia for a long time. During the 2014-2022 period many westoid countries kept investing in Russia and having good relations with them, and the West more or less tacitly accepted Russia occupying part of Ukraine and other countries. It's just that russoids thought they could stretch things even more.

Ruissians ruined the relations unilaterally. Putin literally thought Russia was too special for normal NATO access at the end of Bush admin. lmao
Fuck you dim bulbs, you start wars and will start WW3 soon, too, most likely. Stop asking bullshit questions about others, you're the problem.
