A lot of people predicted some sort of huge civil war in the future. Others predicted nothing ever happens and societies will just keep destroying themselves until they collapse. In reality it's in between these extremes, things are unsustainable as they are now so it's inevitable there will be major pushback but probably not some WW3 Chud scenario.

My problem with the demographic issue is that whatever actions are necessary to change that would require a government so extreme and violent that it would inherently produce a hellish society. I am for the record largely anti-immigration, but also acknowledge that the mentality a society would have to adopt to fix it would be so horrific that it would damage the society itself. Similar to how communism tried to solve the issues of monarchy and capitalism but ended up producing results that were themselves almost worse than the disease.

I don't think it would be that catastrophic. It would be some violence obviously, mostly caused by the inmigrants that would refuse to leave, but most of those would cause violence due to other reasons anyways

I think there are two options: you build up the necessary government infrastructure to slowly process each case for every citizen that lives in the country and decide which ones should be deported according to some guidelines, or you go for the quick route and force everyone of particular ethnic backgrounds out of the country and then maybe let back in some of them depending on their profession and contribution to the country. I think both options would be valid and pretty ethical if handled correctly
