I can only speak to my own 9 round bouts with depression, but sunlight, exercise (as little as a 15 minute incel walk), 6-8h sleep, feeding myself some greens and protein instead of just cans, mugs, bottles, and sticks of poison, and accomplishing a handful of things - no matter how small - helps me in ways antidepressants couldn't.
