I keep my work and personal life strictly separated. I never search porn or anything nasty on my phone. In fact, I keep virtually nothing at all saved on my phone. Almost no pictures, no apps, etc. The background image is a perfectly black .png that I imported via small card hardware so as to circumvent the device's strong encouragement to sign up a google account, which then would remain active at all times on the device short of a hard system wipe/reset. I routinely delete text message threads once I'm done with them, generally work-related things or simple amusements/exchanges with a few relatives. I understand that these exchanges remain on the other people's devices but I don't mind, they're always innocuous and/or professional so I have nothing to worry about. I just like my own dumbphone to be as blank and empty as is practicable. Most default apps are disabled outside of essential functionality, including the contacts app. If I want to call or text someone, I punch in their number manually. I know the three or four critical numbers by heart, anything else I can look up on my papers. The internet app is usually kept turned off, I only turn it on when I absolutely have to, commonly to find directions or look up certain basic instructions.
Very occasionally, I see leftover traces of personal activity on the ipads used at work. Never came across any porn, haven't encountered anyone that stupid. The ipads are configured by the employer in such a way as to take a "gotcha" snapshot in connection with certain critical tasks. This seems to be rare, but I've heard one shutter-click noise at least once while doing a work task. They wanted to be very sure to have a photo trace of what was going on at the time, in the moment. I wonder if they have any anti-porn implementations/punishments embedded in those work devices. Of course, if they do it won't affect me.
