Out of all the sexually dimorphic creatures in the Animal kingdom, humans have the worst and most resource-intensive mating dance.

Think about it. You dedicate the very reason of your existence to the execution of this dance.
Birbs get away with doing silly shit like this. Humans put on a performance beyond just physical looks. You have to interact a certain way, wageslave/hustle for economic points, subscribe to few mass-approved ideologies. And you have to keep maintaining this shit for the rest of your meaningless existence.
