If Eastern Europeans reverted to Islam and consequently stopped drinking alcohol and doing drugs, that would be a massive improvement for our societies.

What are you, a time traveller from the 90s? Absolutely nobody drinks denaturat nowadays. Even the lowest of the low can afford to drink themselves to death with something actually meant for drinking.

We had this kind of wine too, it's commonly called "jabol" (something like "appler") because here these cheap wines are made of apples primarily. But I'd say they were more common in the 80s/90s, nowadays vodka is more accessible and obviously much stronger so drunkards prefer it. Ofc I'm talking about heavy drunkards, in fact our whole society is alxoholized to some degree, just most people drink 2-3 cans of beer per day, they can somehow still operate more o less normally after that so they don't think of themselves as alcoholics, even if they in fact are.
