Nobody does this here unless it’s absolutely necessary due to medical reasons.
It’s amusing because as far as I know circumcision became popular in the US in the late 1800s originally promoted as a way to prevent masturbation and sort of impure behavior and then became a tradition. Orthodox Christian’s or I guess I should say Orthodox countries in general like ours don’t follow this kind of extremely strict dogmatic or should I say bureaucratic way of life and extremes like some of the Protestants and Catholics do. I guess this is one of the main differences between us.

I read a BBC article about circumcision and back in the 1800s like 30% of British men got cut too but naturally it was the upper 30% but it fell out of favour during the 1900s and when the NHS was founded they didn't do it all so basically no one gets cut now except Muslims and Africans. The same thing happened with a generation lag in Australia too, a large minority of Aussie boomsers are cut but they never did it to their kids.

Legally speaking, circumcision is considered a purely cosmetic surgery and as such it cannot be performed on minors. Of course there's a ((((((((((religious exemption)))))))))) that allows ((((((((((certain people)))))))))) to perform ritual genital mutilation on unwilling infants but other than that it's completely unheard of and it's considered a barbaric practice by society in general.
