Is Umami really different from savoriness? Why couldnt white people categorize that taste, without the help of Japs?

Umami just means you put a fuckton of MSG in it. Something Asians mostly eat.

umami is a taste
savoriness is a description, something savory is tasty, whereas at least according to some people umami is an actual taste, instead of 4 it's 5
