Happens in your country?

Kruunusilta is 1,3km long bridge connecting the eastern part of Helsinki to the central part of Helsinki.

It is the biggest bridge in the world built in such manner and size just for public transport, cycling and pedestrian usage. No cars are allowed to use this road.

This whole plan builts a tram connectioction as well and it also involves two different bridges connecting other islands with similar usage with trams as well. The total cost is something like billion euros.

yes, this is subject to some controversy but imo it wouldnt make any sense to make such big car path to the central part of Helsinki when the plan is to limit the amount of incoming car traffic there. Cars already have a bridge to go through the city to the north of the bridge

We have one in Bombay, for many years it's official name was Bandra-Worli Sea Link or more popularly Sea Link, which was simple yet effective, then they changed its name to some dumb dalit ex Prime Jeet Minister who got suicide-kebabed by terrorists

not sure but i think other countries might also have this fanciful technology called "bridges", maybe

also that billion euros would've been better spent on anything other than homocity infrastructure if the govt seriously wants to keep the whole country inhabited, including the east border & the far north

it is unheard of bridges being built that have cars banned

In Amsterdam you need a boat to get from one side of the city to the other.

But the city center has countless bridges.

third of the size of this bridge and it was not originally built for pedestrian use
