Honestly, its on its decline. From what I heard by coworkers is that most Koreans either move to the OC area and Ktown is mainly a staging ground for new fobs and younger students. And like half of the fobs just fuck around for a few years then move back to Korea or some other country. Its like temporary for them. The ones who get careers and family here tend to move way to suburbs around OC without the crimes and hoodlums. Still has a lot of restaurants tho, don't get me wrong but its not packed with Koreans like it supposedly was over a decade ago. You see a lot of mixed crowds of people now.

All of LA is getting worse crime wise. Rampant thefts and break ins and assaults increases each year. They even raid rich neighborhoods in broad daylight but the news doesn't cover it much because it makes certian people look bad.
As for Korea Town, as that area gets new development and you'll see Koreans move out and new people move in. Give it time and Korea Town will be whittled down to two or three blocks compared to its heyday where it spanned much of west DTLA. Orange County has the most Koreans now. Irvine, Fullerton and Brea are where most of the Koreans live. Up in LA county they moved to Diamond Bar and Chino/Chino Hills and some in the valley. Its changing. No one wants to live around thugs and 'hoodlums' and everyone who can leave, leaves. Only migrants with assistance live around downtown LA.
