Who usually takes the role of Santa (or whatever is the analog in your country) in your country?
For example, I've heard that in the West it is common for the dad to dress up as Santa, but in Russia we usually have special Ded Moroz (Russian Santa) services. Parents just hire a Ded Moroz with his granddaughter who come by to your apartment for 5-10 minutes, listen to you recite a poem and give you your gift, which is probably handed to them by your parents beforehand.

We have the real Santa. He's a tomte (folklore creature). Santa's helpers are tomtar too.
