How do people enjoy summer in your country?
what do you personally enjoy the most?
Anonymous Australia No.213561514 >>213561663
People enjoy summer in a myriad of ways in Australia. Here are just a few:
>overcrowding beaches to a point where the experience is mostly ruined
>increase skin cancer statistics
>usually a few foreigners who come from countries where nobody learns how to swim or survive in surf conditions will drown or get washed off rocks, then drown
>flooding tourist hotspots with foreigners and "people" from sydney
>slowing traffic to a crawl
>overcharging for coffee and snacks
>shopping sprees with fake specials
I do love the weather, though. Even if it is killing me.

I genuinly dont understand why Australia is so concentrated on the south east. Whats wrong with the south west for example, or the north west, or the north east? Why is everything south east

Sitting in my apartment with the AC on maximum blizzard blast until the weather cools down to autumn levels again.

I work in summer, I don't do well on populated areas. That means avoiding going to the beach even if it's only 300m from my house.

Tbh I don't know all the details of the story of the populating of the country. But Sydney was where the English first landed and formed a colony. So I guess a lot of it spread outwards from there. As far as the south west goes, there's a capital city there. North west was never really populated, but has a lot of mining for ore and minerals. Although mining happens everywhere. North east is a very hot, tropical climate. With crocodile and shark-infested waters. South east also has quick access to New Zealand, and travel to the Pacific. But I think a lot of it has to do with that being the first area to really boom population-wise, in a country that can't really sustain a large population, anyway.

I enjoy fishing, camping and being out in nature on rainy days but I can't say I enjoy summer heat and sun.
I'm in good shape and all but I sweat like a fucking fountain and feel physically ill when it's above 24c.
15-18c and rain is the dream.

soulfvl. I can't remember the last time I went camping. I would kill to have some buddies to do it with regularly, especially since I'm a ruralfag and there's lots of nice spots near me to do it

Australia feels like a very challenging country to camp and hike in. In my mind I just see a tent in the middle of a bush, half melted to the ground kek.
What's the nature like around you?
