Pasta and rice are both nutritionally null. The only for of rice or pasta that has any nutrients are whole grain versions.

Potatoes and oats, on the other hands, much more nutritional starches.

African rice is a different specie than asian rice

Unfortunately it has mostly disappeared as asian rice is more productive as a crop
