Diego de Landa and Cristobal Colon both describe the native groups they encountered as "tall" lmao. Spaniards in the 1500's were as short as guatemalans.

50 years ago Mexico was a fourth world country, with more generations growing up with good childhood nutrition Mexicans will be as tall as Spaniards. Spaniards are the shortest Europeans anyway.
