Why did we decolonize? What do Africans, South Americans, Indians etc. need democracy for?

In Indonesia you wake up at 11:00, the sun is shining. People are friendly and the food is good. You do not really have a job because it's not necessary: food is abundant. If you do have a job, it's something fun like jet-ski instructor or picking coconuts for at most 2 hours a day. At night you party and socialize. These people do not know about deadlines, income tax, car insurance etc.

Sure, they might not be able to buy the latest television or gizmo-gadget, but that does not matter to them. They live in their version of paradise.

If UK didn't decolonize, the Indian army would've revolted with Soviet support and ACKd British leadership. Remember the army of the British Empire was almost entirely Indian. White Brits only fought in Europe.
