We need to unveil the concept of high-income third world countries.

Any country, state, or region with low-quality public education, public health care services, poor rule of law, rampant corruption, and high crime (theft, assault, rape, murder) rates.
Examples: Namibia, Bolivia, Mexico, Haiti, the State of Palestine (literally because of (((them)))), Russia, Pakistan, and the flyover states and inner-city areas in the United States of America
Anonymous Canada No.213652435 >>213652594 >>213653417 >>213653485

Agree with basically everything except public health care services. America compared to the rest of world simply operates on a different philosophy regarding public services, especially healthcare. Almost every productive citizen is covered by healthcare, either through their employment or through their own investment. High-crime is a major problem in almost every city, first-world or third-world, so I think while a good benchmark, it's really only useful as a national statistic. Public education is a problem in the US, so agreed. As for the rest which could be summarized as political stability, from a big picture, america is fine, if you want to say that america is politically unstable, then major european countries which I'm sure no one has any problem calling first word, is also similarly politically unstable, see germany, uk specifically.
imo, my criteria for third-world label is the level of infrastructure. That being availability and access in terms of domestic travel, trade, and the ability to maintain domestic industries.

lol yes civil war is just around the corner
rule of law is basically absent at this point, for example I just bribed my way to a driver's license, you should try doing this as well in Germany

your country literally had to censor and are attempting to ban a far-right party because it's gotten too popular. Need I also point to islamic terrorism?
Anonymous Germany No.213652895 >>213653054
>>213652663
You're right this highly bureaucratic, closely monitored public administration process that COULD result in a party being banned based on public more than a decade worth of public records is akeen to "joggers" being allowed to loot supermarkets free of charge so basically Germany is worse actually than the usa when you think about it
On top I fear for my life and my children being taken away if I don't allow them to take the state-administred trans hormones just like Canadians do
Germany is North Korea actually when it comes to its terror regime and simultaneously at the brink of total societal collapse, the most unstable country in the world really because uhm... an isolated instance of someone driving a car into a crowd!

not really my point. I'm saying that if the situation in the US could be described as political unstable, then so could that of the german political climate.
Unless you are saying that arresting citizens due to "hate speech" and encouraging the migrant crisis despite public opinion is unrelated to political stability.
Not really trying to attack germany. Every country has their own problems

violent crimes yes. USA is much higher. Crime in general, germany is higher at around 5k per 100k, and usa at 3k per 100k.
But then different crimes, different outlook.

but political violence is less likely in germany for historical reasons

I don't like the gun argument, as the vast majority of crime related incidents are related to suicide, but fair.
As for political violence, sure, maybe a few decades ago. But with the disproportionate crime statistics regarding ethnic minorities, the growing sentiment regarding migrants, and the government actively attacking their citizens for their opposition, idk how that doesn't contribute to political instability.

Yes, America is a country in decline, it's true. The falls is going to drag on much longer than many people think. Decades of slow decline as the country goes through cycles of sell offs, acquisitions and hyper-privatization.

America will remain the preeminent power of the western world for AT LEAST the next 100 years. Our top 10 companies own more wealth than the entire global south.

gun violence is pretty common pretty much throughout the country esp poor areas

Nah, I'm not disagreeing with that. It's clear that pharma companies are siphoning money from taxpayers. But my point still stands, the state owes no obligation to subsidize the health of their people, an incentive yes, but at the end of the day, it's their choice. And the difference is ~5 years. Yea nah, until that number hits 10, I'd say no significant interest in quality of healthcare. With the culture in the US regarding diet, and food industries, I'm surprised the difference isn't higher.

Sure, then it's a difference of opinion. I could also say that every country without codified freedom of expression is a third world country, and you'd argue back.

The sentence after doesn't help the case either. Basing all the infraestructure around cars and having no high speed rail is pretty much third world
>Sure, then it's a difference of opinion
Not an opinion. You can check most third world countries and you'll find out that it's true
>every country without codified freedom of expression is a third world country

You could clearly see strong wind, and the midwest of the US have multiple tornadoes per year. So yes, with the absence of context, I'm going to assume that the construction site was near a tornado event, ie, natural disaster.
>Not an opinion. You can check most third world countries and you'll find out that it's true
India, pakistan, rwanda, all have universal healthcare, does that make them first world countries?
>You probably think the US is the freest country in the world because of le 1st amendment
If you think that private healthcare is an indicator for third-world status, then yes, I believe that countries without robust free speech laws are an indicator for lack of freedom. If you still don't get it, it's a comparison.

Most third world countries have unreliable public healthcare and people have to resort to private ones despite paying public healthcare taxes

>you can say whatever you want but you can't keep your foreskin
