What makes people automatically assume I'm Muslim? They don't even ask first to confirm, I have to correct them and tell I'm an atheist.
I'm tunisian, shouldn't you assume I'm not religious by default??

I don't pray and I don't believe in the existence of a god or a life after death, that's by definition what atheism is.

I eat pork and drink but i'm still muslim. The one thing i'd never do is commit zina or any major sin but it's permissible to eat pork if you live in "dar al-harb" believe it or not because of cordiality and convenience

It was never banned. Census forms in the SFR Yugoslavia even had fields asking for people's religion. The only issue was that the Yugoslav government was officially secular, and thus educational institutions, hospitals, courts, and other government-run services and institutions were meant to be officially neutral with regard to religious matters.
