Fun fact, plenty of historians credit banning cousin marriages 2k years ago in Europe as key factors that led to the rise of early modern science and European society being much more powerful and advanced

Turns out it's better to not give yourself 25 IQ point handicap and to unite families by marriage (hence widening social ties) over hardcore tribalism
