But it mostly is. I haven't used public transport since I got a car. Most people who use it are poor, students, poor students, or work somewhere that is much faster to get to by train than by car during rush hour and where it's expensive or impossible to park (eg. downtown or the airport)

Even if I have to sit with shitty people I'd rather let some bus driver crawl through midday Chicago traffic than do it myself. Plus I work in the Loop and I'm not driving through that 5 days a week.

I rarely pass by the bus driver since I usually enter and exit through the center or back door when taking the bus.
