I'm surprised there was never an Anglo-Saxon revivalism movement in UK.
What do I mean? I mean that UK elite has been governed by foreigners for a thousand years, and they have imparted foreign cultures as the elite culture, meaning a lot of vocabulary, customs and traditions are non-Anglo-Saxons. I would have expected that there'd been some type of movement to expel these things post-industrial revolution but nothing of that sort happened. They're just as subservient to French elitism. What gives?
