It's already 5eur for an average-sized totally basic doner in Warsaw. This is getting insane. Actually I prefer to buy cold doners in a convenience shop that cost 2eur and put them in a sandwich toaster myself.

I haven't seen "fresh" kebab in years.
All the restuarants and pizzerias have that spinning oven machine but there is never any meat on it.
They all have kebab meat in a metal box that they warm up instead.

5-6 euros for a plate of doner kebab is not such a high price, especially in europe with high salaries, in my country it costs about the same, from 5 to 10 euros.
Kebab is really on its way out here/has been completely relegated to late night food.
Always weird when you go to Germany and see people eat them in broad daylight. Double weird when they're not construction workers or immigrants

Depends entirely on social class. Zoomers, students and higher educated people go for luxurious sandwiches/Asian food while the underclass is more likely to have McDonald's or fries.

This. I can go to a local restaurant here where prices are half that of McDonalds with twice the portions and higher quality food McDonalds is a total waste of money now, pretty sure the only people who eat it are addicted to the taste in some way and unwilling to try new things
average price of a pita gyro in greece is currently 4 euros and thats only if you add non tourist places in that average calculation. and this is PORK i repeat pork not beef and its also filled with fries and three tons of tzatziki

I sometimes eat kebabs, but they only contain similar amounts.
However, if you pay about 6 euros, the amount of meat increases and tomatoes are included.
