How frequent and large are the protests? News service reports here are kinda sketchy and nebulous, calling it "anti-immigrant protests" and the like usually omitting what triggered them, like eg the protests in northern Ireland being triggered by rapes by Romanian immigrants, only reason I found out was by online word of mouth

the media has effectively agreed on an unnofficial blackout since 2024. probably the government has been leaning on them, thinking that reporting on the protests gives them legitimacy and makes them spread. this means the only way of estimating their size and frequency is through social media and completely depends on your personal content algorithm
