Bosniaks are a ethnic european group whose primary religion is Islam. Not much of a connection to a indonesian or an arab beyond a vague idea of a religion. And religion is dying here anyways at least in the younger generations. Everyone drinks alcohol and gambles. I think you as a muslim american spend most of your time on the internet and have a different worldview about Islam compared to most muslims, there's a vague idea of "brotherhood" but there's a lot of infighting and rivalries between different muslim countries many different historic and current reasons. The brotherhood's actual acts extend to tweeing about Save Palestine on twitter and hating Zionists, not really about wanting to some great muslim unity or treating each other as equals, that's called delusion.
