My grandma had one of those, where we found only it's back 1/3 plus legs legs. Presumably because a mountain lion or black bear grabbed a hold of it and walked off. Wish I were joking

popular among hunters here. they totatlly bite above their size, they are often used to chase foxes and such out of their underground tunnels and they do so completely fearless despite a fox being twice their size. faced with a bear or mountail lion they would do the same and that might become their death.
